I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area.  The only time I left was to get a college degree from Sacramento St in business marketing.  I got my passion for being on the water from my parents.  My dad grew up sailing from Scotland through Panama to Australia, with many stops in between over 10 years.  My mom tells stories of catching giant local salmon and stripers over 40 inches in the 70s with her father.  She also did a lot of sailing, going to Hawaii and even as far as Costa Rica, which is where my parents first met, in a marina, both on sailing trips with their families. As a young kid, I would race 20ft Hobie cats across the state with my dad and travel annually to San Felipe, Baja California, to compete.  Growing up, family trips often consisted of chartering sailboats in the Virgin Islands or Cook Islands with an occasional trip to Alaska to stay at a fishing lodge.  After college, I got a job in low-voltage construction. During that time in 2016, I was introduced by a coworker to Fisherman's Life on YouTube.  One day, when watching in 2019, my wife said why don’t you start making YouTube videos, you always come home with a bunch of fish. That spurred me to film and edit a video with no experience on either.  I was with my friend, also named Chris, and we caught limits of salmon.  I posted my first video, and it got a few hundred clicks in a day.  My new hobby of creating YouTube videos had just begun. The passion for making the videos came from the love of fishing and being able to share the experience with others. Occasionally, people watching the videos would email me asking if they could pay for a trip.  Not being licensed, I had to politely decline.  In 2023, I decided to get my USCG OUPV 6-Pack captains license. I was excited to be able to take my love of fishing and sharing the experience to the next level.  The hard work finally paid off in early 2024 when I passed my test on the first attempt and soon after bought a beautiful 25ft North River Hardtop boat to be able to take you out in.  I made my first charter in the summer of that year.  The majority of the people coming out with me were people who had watched my YouTube videos.  I quickly learned what an awesome group of people this was.  Every trip I went on was such a fun experience because of you! I look forward to meeting you, your families, and your friends as we enjoy a great time making memories on the water!
